About the subject:
The student learns to examine descriptive and emotive lighting effects by exploring and cataloguing historical figures within lighting and photography. The students will practice both colour and black and white and uncover techniques of strobe lighting, reflectors, diffusers, and experimental flash techniques. From low light and long exposure to lighting up every detail in the image, the student will find a wealth of lighting techniques and approaches in which to command their photographic practice.
Students completing Descriptive & Emotive Lighting will have completed the subject requirement for the Diploma of Photography. They may also take it as a single stand alone study unit. There are no prerequisites.
