About the subject:
The subject is an introduction to traditional and contemporary photo-media practices from the European avant-garde to contemporary practices today. This subject will examine analog printing process from the dawn of photography. Sessions include printing demonstrations followed by darkroom practices. This subject concentrates on combining darkroom with digital methods allowing and encouraging students to explore a wealth of photographic possibilities made available today.
Single unit informal enrolment is welcome. Class sessions are once per week. A digital SLR camera is recommended but not compulsory.
A materials requirement will be given before the start of the classes. Completion of Photomedia will complete one study unit within the Diploma of Photography.

For Single Subjects there are no enrolment deadlines. Please be aware that subjects and courses at Latrobe College are popular and can fill quickly. To avoid disappointment it is recommended that enrolment is completed 4 weeks before classes start.
